Inaugural Cape Coral Cup Mini Golf Tournament
The community is encouraged to support the first ever Cape Coral Cup miniature golf tournament sponsored by the United States Postal Service. The event will be held Sunday, Jan. 9 at Mike Greenwell’s Bat-A-Ball Family Fun Park, 35 N.E. Pine Island Rd, Cape Coral to benefit United Way of Lee County which serves a network of 72 local agencies. Tee times are available at 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m.
There is a $10 registration fee per golfer which includes a round of golf, hot dog, chips and a soda. Door prizes for the event include a trip for two on the Key West Express and a free round of golf for two at Coral Oaks Golf Course.
The first 100 to register will receive a free event t-shirt donated by DCB Designs & Embroidery. Trophies will be awarded in two categories, adult or family team. Teams will be allowed up to a maximum of 5 golfers, 6 for families.
The top adult golfer will be awarded the 2011 Cape Coral Cup green jacket and the top child golfer will be awarded the 2011 Cape Coral Cup green putter.
All proceeds from the tournament will benefit local agencies who help children reach their potential, people in crisis and the elderly who are struggling.
