Kassidy Emerick

Emerick won the 110-pound Olympic Weightlifting event in the FHSAA Class 2A State Championships, lifting 285 total pounds. Emerick added a third place in traditional lifting for good measure.
“It hasn’t set in yet. it doesn’t feel real. I hold myself to a high standard, so I expect myself to do well in everything I do.”
Eddie Nolan

Wrestling
Bishop Verot Vikings
Nolan was tops in the 220-pound weight class, bringing home a District 1A-12 wrestling title.
“It felt very fulfilling to take home the district title, it was a goal at the beginning of the season. I attribute my success especially to my coaches, as well as my family. I believe what pushed me to that next step was losing in the state semifinals in football, it showed me how close I could get to winning it all, and that loss lit a fire in me to push myself and want more in everything I do.”
