The Lee Association for Remarkable Citizens, a nonprofit organization devoted to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, will hold the eighth annual “Aiming for Ability” Clay Shooting Tournament on Friday, May 1.  The event is presented by Grampy’s Charities.

The event will take place outdoors at Sarasota Trap, Skeet & Clays, at 3445 Rustic Road, in Nokomis. All proceeds will directly support LARC’s vital programs and services, helping individuals with IDD unlock their full potential.

“We are incredibly excited to host our annual Aiming for Ability tournament once again,” said Angela Katz, LARC executive director. “This event is not only a fun day, but it’s also a powerful opportunity to directly impact the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Every shot taken supports their journey toward independence, success, and fulfillment.

Last year’s tournament raised $47,000 to benefit the remarkable individuals served by LARC. With community participation and support, this year’s goal is to surpass that milestone and make an even greater impact.

The day promises an exciting mix of camaraderie, purpose and outdoor fun. Registration begins at 8:45 a.m., followed by a mandatory safety briefing at 9:30 a.m. At 10 a.m., participants will take to the course to test their aim, all in the spirit of supporting a meaningful cause. The event concludes with lunch, awards, and exciting auction opportunities.

The individual entry fee is $225 per person and includes lunch, ear protection, 100 targets, four boxes of ammunition and a golf cart. Shotgun rentals are available for an additional fee. Awards will be presented to the first, second, and third place teams, and the event is open to participants 18 and older.

Sponsorships are available. All sponsorship levels include: lunch, ear protection, 100 targets, four boxes of ammunition, and a golf cart for each registered shooter.

12 Gauge Sponsor — $1,750: Includes entry for four shooters and premium recognition throughout the event, including:

• Company logo displayed in all golf carts
