Precautionary Boil Water Notice lifted for homes and businesses in North Fort Myers
Lee County Utilities has rescinded a precautionary Boil Water Notice to an estimated 1,600 residences and 22 businesses along U.S. 41 north of Del Prado Boulevard, including Carefree Village, Tara Woods and Del Tura Golf and Country Club.
Bacterial testing has shown the drinking water is safe and residents may now resume usual use of their water without the need to boil it.
The precautionary notice had been in place since Tuesday, April 28, due to a planned outage as part of work to install a 12-inch water valve and replace a section of 12-inch water pipe.
