School District, Lee BIA to construct another Build My Future trade show
The School District of Lee County and the Lee Building Industry Association will collaborate on the third annual Build My Future Lee County career trade show day, Oct. 26 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at JetBlue Park, 11500 Fenway South Drive, Fort Myers.
The career and industry showcase will address the skilled workforce shortage within the building industry and proceeds will aid in funding construction curriculum in Lee County public schools.
330 students from the District’s 15 traditional high schools and Lee Virtual School will participate. They will gain hands-on experience in what it is like to build a bridge, fix an A/C system, lay bricks, move machinery, and more.
