United Fidelity Bank awards Neighbors Network of Lee County a check
United Fidelity Bank Office Manager Jessica Jimenez presented Neighbors Network of Lee County (NNLC) a check for the new non-profit’s “community fund members.”
“This is our first corporate donation,” Barbara Shearer, president of NNLC, said in accepting the check.
“We’re a community bank; we’re here to support worthy community initiatives,” Jimenez said.
Three members of the NNLC board met to accept the check from United Fidelity. In accepting the check, Bernice Kertavage, NNLC Treasurer said, “This warms our hearts and affirms our mission.”
“We especially appreciate your mission to make aging in one’s own home possible,” Jimenez said. “We’re pleased to give your organization a ‘leg up’,” she added. The funds will be used for essential costs to manage the NNLC website and to onboard new volunteers.
