Better Together, The Breeze Church to host community job fair May 19

Better Together, a nonprofit on a mission to build strong families and communities, is partnering with The Breeze Church in North Fort Myers to host a community job fair Tuesday, May 19, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Registration is now open for job seekers and employers to participate in the May event. With a spirit of hope and celebration, the church-based job fairs empower job seekers by connecting them with local employers who are ready to hire, while offering supportive services that foster meaningful connections and increase opportunities for lasting employment. Free one-on-one job coaching sessions are available to participants to review resumes, and additional services will be available onsite.

The job fair will take place at The Breeze Church at 7101 Bayshore Road in North Fort Myers. Job seekers and employers can register at BetterTogetherUS.org/TheBreeze or by texting “JOBS” to 844-987-3949.

With job openings available across various industries, participating employers include A Perfect Choice Home Care, AWP Safety, America’s Windows, Best Choice Roofing, Crown Capital Management, Florida Department of Corrections, McKenney Home Care, Nova Leap Home Health, Preferred Materials, Reece Windows & Doors, St. Matthew’s House, Statewide Workforce Development, Hertz, TradeCorp of Fort Myers, United States Marine Corps, Waste Pro and more.

Local resource partners will also join Better Together in offering various onsite services, including Al-Anon Family Groups, Alcoholics Anonymous, ArchWell Health, Celebrate Recovery, Centerstone, Florida Gulf Coast University, Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida, Guarin Insurance, Kairos Outside Southwest Florida, Overeaters Anonymous, Veterans Affairs and Vocational Rehabilitation.

The community job fairs are part of Better Together’s “Better Jobs” program, which has helped more than 50,000 applicants connect with employment opportunities across 25 states.
