Stevens Construction begins on church
Stevens Construction has started an expansion and renovation of the Riverside Church of Fort Myers.
It is providing a 7,387-square-foot addition and 5,850 square feet of alterations to the existing facility to enhance the congregation and staff ministry experience.
The project will include reconfiguring and expanding the lobby, constructing new restrooms and upgrading interior finishes.
Exterior improvements will feature a new covered patio with seating for 272 people and the construction of a new 81,700-square-foot soccer field.
The church will remain occupied and operational during the project.
Stevens Construction spent two years in preconstruction, assisting the client with design team selection, budgeting through the design and permitting. It identified nearly $400,000 in value-engineering opportunities, recommending cost-effective design suggestions without compromising quality or functionality.
The project is slated for completion in spring 2027.
