With the usual hot and hazy conditions of Southwest Florida on the horizon, the area’s largest water park is ready to welcome the community to its grounds for another season of aquatic adventure.

Sun Splash Family Waterpark is now open for the 2026 season, operating from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. now through March 22.

The park will be open every day until early April, where the park will be on an abbreviated schedule until late May.

“We couldn’t be more excited to kick off another season here at SunSplash,” said ProParks CEO John Hyltin via email. “Opening day is one of our favorite times of the year — it means warmer weather, families getting back together, and the return of those unforgettable water park memories. Our team has been working hard in the offseason to get everything ready, including our brand new wave pool, and we’re proud to welcome Southwest Florida back for what’s shaping up to be an incredible 2026 season.”

Sun Splash Family Waterpark features water slides, lazy river, pool, interactive play area, and more. Guests can look forward to entertainment, food options, and a vibrant atmosphere that will make every visit memorable. Sun Splash continues to add to an already-packed schedule of special events making it a destination spot for individuals and families alike.

“This season is all about enhancing the guest experience,” Hyltin. “We’ve made operational improvements based directly on guest feedback, including updates to our operating calendar to better match when families want to visit. Behind the scenes, we’ve also focused heavily on improving service, speed, and overall park experience so guests can spend less time waiting and more time enjoying the attractions. And of course, our first full year with our new wave pool. We are planning more in-park events, stay tuned for these updates.

“We’re also continuing to elevate premium experiences like cabanas, making it easier for guests to enjoy a more relaxed, resort-style day at the park.”

Sun Splash will be fully open and operational to start the year. The continued popularity of the new wave pool will surely be a top attraction for Southwest Floridians.

After a chilly winter, Sun Splash officials said as the weather starts to warm, the park is the place to be.

“Spring Break is one of the absolute best times to visit SunSplash,” Hyltin said. “The weather is perfect, the park is fully open, and it’s the ideal way for families to get outside. Whether you’re floating the lazy river, catching waves in the wave pool, or watching your kids enjoy the splash areas, there’s something here for everyone.

“For families looking to upgrade their experience, our cabanas are a great option-they give you a shaded, private space to relax, recharge, and have a home base throughout the day. During busy Spring Break periods, having that dedicated space can make the entire visit more comfortable and stress-free.”

Sun Splash officials said right now is one of the best times to lock in a Season Pass before prices increase. The park’s Silver and Gold passes offer value for families planning multiple visits this year. Gold Passholders, in particular, get the most value with added perks like free one-time use tickets for friends and additional in-season benefits.

“Our current Season Pass sale is one of our biggest early-season promotions, and it’s time-sensitive,” Hyltin said. “Right now, Gold Passes include bonus free tickets (currently 2 free one-time use tickets), which is a huge added value for families looking to bring friends or extended family. We’ve also recently extended select promotional pricing windows, but those offers won’t last long as we move further into the season.”

From now until March 23, Silver Passes are $64.99, with Gold Passes at $119.99.

SunSplash is at 400 W. Lake Kennedy Drive 2.5 miles north of Veterans Parkway in Cape Coral.
