Gulf Coast Village to host ‘Botanicals’ artist meet-and-greet on Wednesday
Gulf Coast Village and the North Fort Myers Arts Association are set to launch “Botanicals,” the newest installation of the duo’s rotating art gallery, Wednesday, May 13.
Kicking off with an artist meet-and-greet from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on May 13, “Botanicals” will showcase the beauty of nature through the eyes of artists with the North Fort Myers Arts Association, as well as Gulf Coast Village’s own resident artists. From painting and mixed media to textiles and beyond, “Botanicals” will offer a unique interpretation of the natural world, made special by each participating artist.
The exhibit’s featured artist is Jola Martusewicz-Shani, whose work embodies movement, color and spirit of landscapes and botanicals from around the world. Her work is deeply influenced by her travels abroad and her enduring connection to nature.
At the May 13 meet-and-greet and exhibit launch, guests can enjoy wine and cheese, meet the artists and engage with the stories behind each piece. Select artwork will be available for purchase. Guests can also place their votes for the People’s Choice Award, with the winner announced at 3 p.m.
Gulf Coast Gallery is located in the elevator lobby at Gulf Coast Village, 1333 Santa Barbara Blvd., in Cape Coral. To RSVP for “Botanicals,” please call (239) 510-8712.
The exhibit will be open to the public daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Thursday, July 9.
