Looking to have a one-on-one connection with builders and members of the construction industry?

This weekend in Cape Coral, an open-to-the-public event takes place over two days as the Great American Home Show Extravaganza comes to The Westin Cape Coral at Marina Village.

Put on by the Cape Coral Construction Industry Association, this free event allows attendees to speak first-hand with a myriad of industry professionals under one roof.

“The home show is designed to captured those individuals who live here,” said CCCIA Executive Director John Sullivan. “We have events throughout the year, mostly when we have seasonal residents, but this is for the folks here year-round. Maybe someone needs to fix their garage door, the name of an electrician, the name of a plumber or good builder. We wanted to put together a home show that has an eclectic group of local vendors and builders that are members of our association, and give back to them as well as the community.”

The Great American Home Show Extravaganza runs this Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Those who attend and visit a select number of vendor booths will be entered to win an eight-day, seven-night getaway to Little Cayman Island worth $10,000.

There will be more than 50 booths and businesses represented at the show, as well as a cooking demonstration, information on the St. Jude Dream Home, hurricane kits, other demonstrations, development opportunities and much more.

“We want people to come out and see the vendors, get a feel for Cape Coral, get to know who they are and what’s going on,” Sullivan said. “The focus is to meet these industry professionals.”

The CCCIA is a voice for the construction industry in Cape Coral and Southwest Florida.

The association represents builders, developers, subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners that are committed to responsible growth, quality construction, and a strong local economy. The CCCIA represents 450 businesses in the industry that employ more than 30,000 individuals.

The Westin Cape Coral is at 5951 Silver Kind Blvd.
