Kurt Donaldson Park in Cape to close for playground upgrades
The playground at Kurt Donaldson Park, 180 Hunter Blvd., off Hancock Bridge Parkway, in Cape Coral, will close temporarily beginning Monday, Aug. 17, while the existing playground is replaced with a new playground.
The playground is expected to remain closed through the end of September, weather and construction conditions permitting, but could reopen sooner if work is completed ahead of schedule.
The new playground will feature shade, swings, slides, climbing components and other equipment designed to provide children with an enhanced place to play.
Visitors can use other nearby Lee County Parks & Rec playgrounds while the Kurt Donaldson Park playground is temporarily closed. Visit leeparks.org, select “Park Finder” and search by the “Playground” amenity.
