Lehigh man convicted in case involving sex crimes against a child , human trafficking
A Lehigh Acres man has been found guilty in a case involving sex crimes against a child as well as human trafficking.
Reginald Cutts, 67, was convicted on all counts, including all special findings, of unlawful sexual activity with certain minors, use of a child in a sexual performance, human trafficking, familial or custodial sexual battery, two counts of possession of child pornography, and digital voyeurism.
The Lee County jury returned the guilty verdict following a four-day trial. Special Victims Unit Chief Francine Donnorummo and Assistant State Attorney Tyler Goldman prosecuted the case.
The crimes happened in 2024 over a span of 34 days. Cutts, who was known to the victim, produced child pornography as he committed crimes on the child. He also made the victim perform sex acts and gave them money after committing the crimes against them. Those elements of the crimes make up the human trafficking charge.
The crimes occurred in Cutts’ home and as well as in an RV parked behind his house.
The child victim told their mother about the crimes done to them, resulting in contact with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office whose investigation led to Cutts’ identification and arrest.
Cutts’ sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 28.
