2026 property tax bills on the way
Today, 546,481 tax bills are being mailed to property and business owners in Lee County.
Customers can also view and pay their property tax bills online at LeeTC.com.
Property taxes are due by March 31, 2027, but customers can save by paying early. Discounts are available based on the month of payment: 4% in November, 3% in December, 2% in January, and 1% in February.
The outcome of Amendment 3 will not affect 2026 property tax bills. If approved, the amendment will take effect Jan. 1, 2027.
The Lee County Tax Collector’s Office offers six convenient ways to pay property taxes:
• Online: Pay securely at LeeTC.com/pay-online and print your receipt from home.
• In-office kiosks: Pay by credit card or e-check at any of the six service centers. E-check payments are free, and receipts are available immediately.
• Payment drop-off: Drop off payments 24/7 using the secure SmartLockers at the Downtown Fort Myers, South Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Lehigh Acres service centers. At the Bonita Springs location, payments can be dropped off inside during regular business hours. Allow five business days for processing.
• By phone: Make a payment by calling 239-533-6000.
• By mail: Mail your payment using the instructions included with your tax bill.
• In person: Visit a Lee County Tax Collector service center to make a payment.
“We know our customers have different schedules and preferences when it comes to paying their property taxes,” said Noelle Branning, Lee County Tax Collector, in a prepared statement. “Whether they choose to pay online, by phone, or in person, our goal is to provide flexible options that make it easier for them to do business with our office.”
Property tax bills reflect property values as of Jan. 1, 2026. Customers may notice that their final tax bill is higher than the Truth in Millage (TRIM) notice received in August because the final bill includes non-ad valorem assessments.
