Trump’s real reason for war
To the editor:
It is a lie that Iran poses an imminent nuclear threat just like Bush’s lie that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.
Trump wants to divert Americans’ attention from his and the Republicans’ failures.
Failures include the economy, ICE’s cruel raids and murders, the crisis in public health as shown by the measles epidemic, our loss of friends and allies around the world, his boundless corruption, and his increasing unpopularity as shown in plummeting polls.
Let’s not forget the Epstein files, rapidly closing in on Trump whose history of sexual assaults make his complicity highly likely.
He calls hoaxes whenever he mentions climate change, widening inequality, monopolies driving up prices, and declining real income.
Trump continues to give the very rich tax breaks while cutting back Medicaid and food stamps.
Trump tries to divert attention to fake problems such as non-Americans voting (Not true), Greenland and Venezuela (No threat), “disloyal” Americans who criticize him (Keep it up).
Republicans at the federal, state and local level support his lies.
