Springsteen needs to learn who’s the boss

To the editor:

The No King’s protest events throughout America proves how misdirected many people are. They oppose a president destined to be rated in the top 5 of history after just enduring a president who is rated in the bottom 5, more accurately bottom 3. Why do so many people make emotional judgments rather than judge based upon what actions improve or damage America?

If I have an employee who is offensive in some way, by conversation or attitude and yet is one of the best employees in my company, you can believe he will be applauded.  Would you fire a teacher who is abrupt and outspoken but has the best educated class in school?  Results are what counts in my perspective of people.  A phony is easy to spot if you have your sights set on results.

Springsteen is the best way to evaluate No Kings day.  He was the attraction in Minnesota for No Kings. I did some research on Springsteen. Looked up his political views, mostly demonstrated by his songs. All I could find were negative statements about Trump and criticisms about America.  Ironically the problems he cited were primarily the result of governance by Democrats.

• He cites the loss of jobs in one of his songs. This is due in large part to the lack of tariffs and the incentive to move manufacturing to China and other countries due to the low costs of labor and with no tariffs in this country they can make the product cheaper and sell it very cheaply in America.  Clinton was instrumental in much of this as was Obama and Biden.  Europe has high tariffs resulting in America selling almost no cars in Europe but buying 40% of our cars from Europe because of our low tariffs.  Ditto with China.

• Springsteen cites the Vietnam war as a negative in his songs, and it was negative but started by a Democrat and ended by a Republican.

• A song against our personal safety in America was written about the 1999 police killing of unarmed Guinean immigrant Amadou Diallo, who was standing in front of his apartment building in the Bronx when he was peppered with 41 bullets.  NYC was and is a Democratic stronghold and with the exception of Republican Guiliani’s term, full of crime and political spending.

To me Springsteen would be one to follow if he projected ideas on how to make America better instead of just telling falsehoods, being negative about America and swearing about conservatives.

He attracts a crowd who think like he does.  He hates Trump and many things about America but has no ideas on how to improve it.  His objective is merely to influence people to vote Democrat.
