We can’t afford Amendment 3
To the editor:
Vote no on Amendment 3. Funding for police, fire and EMTs will get hurt as funds will go down. Libraries, parks and special event money will be almost be non-existent.
Local control of our city government will be gone because the state will dictate what we can finance and what we can’t. Special city projects will be gone. Economic experts believe that 16 poor counties will go bankrupt. Money for hurricane relief will almost be non-existent.
We can’t afford Amendment 3 and live safe, happy lives.
Vote no on Amendment 3.
This goes for Rep. Byron Donalds, too. He wants to cut even more property taxes. A vote for him will be disastrous for us for without prudent property taxes, good town living will be gone.
