Community Connection: Eggstravaganza brought smiles – and prizes
A North Fort Myers Neighbor Living magazine feature
As we thought, the Wiffle Ball Bash was a HUGH success with the collection of nearly $8,000.
After expenses there will be approximately $6,300 that will be put into the Scholarship program.
Twelve teams participated in the 6-hour event. The Bash was won by All-American Printing, which defeated Jaime’s Towing in the Gold Medal game. Titan Construction defeated the North Side Eagle’s in the Bronze Medal game.
Civic also raised $627 dollars on the raffle, silent auction and 50/50 during the event.
The North Fort Myers Civic Associations Easter Eggstravaganza also was a great success.
We randomly distributed 1,000 red Easter eggs throughout North Fort Myers and there are 49 winning recipients.
The children’s faces lit up when they got to pick any prize they wanted. Even the adults appreciated the Advance Auto Car wash Bucket and Ellsworth Annual A/C service.
We still have a few tickets winners arranging pick up.
We were able to connect with North Fort Myers residents and spread joy throughout our community. We received thank you notes from our residence — although not everyone received a winning ticket number, their children were ecstatic to be included and go on an Easter Egg Hunt.
The North Fort Myers Civic Association prides itself in advocating for the betterment of our North Fort Myers Community. We love that the community participated and made it a fun event right on their own front lawns.
The Clash of the irons will be over when you read this; a final report will be in the June edition. As of today we are almost sold out.
We have secured Matt Devitt, the chief meteorologist from WINK TV, to present a Hurricane Seminar at the June 14 Civic Meeting to be held at the North Fort Myers Recreation Center. You should really come out to this meeting as Hurricane Season starts June 1. I am sure Matt will present a great deal of information.
The County has scheduled a Hazardous Waste Collection Day on Saturday, May 21, at the North Fort Myers Recreation Center from 8 a.m. until noon. Some of the Civic members will be there to assist you.
Please come and be a part of the Civic Association. Our next meeting will be on June 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the NFM Recreation Center.
