Community Connection: Best wishes to back-to-schoolers!

August already.
Our community is focused on one thing right now. Back to school. Whether you are a newbie starting your journey or a seasoned student heading off to college you can expect one thing: It’s going to hit your wallet.
Books, backpacks, haircuts, clothes, and the list goes on. Every year the need grows. Community outreach is also growing. Churches, governments and so many local organizations are handing out filled backpacks and many other needed items.
NFMCA is doing its part as well. This year our Sprinting Back to School helped many North Fort Myers kids go back to school with a touch more confidence wearing a new pair of shoes. Not to mention that as a parent or guardian, it is a help of one less thing to buy.
Wishing all the kids in North Fort Myers from PreK to 12th a great school year and please learn, learn, and learn.
A very heartfelt thank you to WINK News for sending Camila Pereira to help us get the word out about the Sprinting Back to School. Also, a nice welcome to this new addition to the WINK family.
September is still in the picture for pickleball we are still deciding on a location. Then it is nonstop from there.
If you are one of our regular Facebook followers, you may not have noticed that we have a new page. Please like and follow our new Facebook page. Easy to find with our all-red logo and black lettering. We are up to 137 followers already and building.
Thank you to our voters for your vote for the Best of 2023! We did it.
See you in September.
