Ida Baker, Mariner win district baseball titles; North Fort Myers claims LCAC softball crown

District 6A-13

Championship

Ida Baker 9, Gateway 0: Yadel Pena had two doubles and a single, driving in four runs for the Bulldogs (11-8). Robbie Hensley had two RBI for the District 6A-13 champs. Nick Conticelli pitched five shutout innings to earn the victory on the mound.

District 5A-11

Championship

Mariner 8, Charlotte 3: The Tritons (15-10) scored five runs in the final two innings to secure the District 5A-11 title. Trenton Taylor had a three-run double, Xavier Muentes went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBI, Romero Gist had two doubles and an RBI, while Ryan Kotarski had a solo run for Mariner. Nick Oliveros pitched six innings for the win.

SOFTBALL

LCAC Tournament

North Fort Myers 3, Cape Coral 2: Keira Lane singled in what would be the winning run in the bottom of the six for the Red Knights (15-2), who captured the LCAC title. Natalie Singletary and Kaliyah Williams had an RBI each. Williams was the winning pitcher, allowing two unearned runs over seven innings. Emma Brannan drove in both runs for the Seahawks (12-8). She also pitched six innings, allowing two earned runs.. 

Mariner 8, Fort Myers 6 (8 innings): Briley Parramore and Brooke Parramore drove in two runs each for the Tritons (11-8). Gabi Winters allowed three earned runs with 12 strikeouts over eight innings.

BEACH VOLLEYBALL

North Fort Myers 5, North Port 0: The Red Knights capped off an 11-1 regular season.  Delaney Beougher, Aliyah Santiago, Harley Mendez, Mackenzie Stenson, Adriana Delgado, Abigail Fitzgerald, Carly Painter, Amy Guerrero, Lilliana Seldat and Tahlia Rodriguez all picked up wins to sweep the Bobcats.
